£440.00

We are totally delighted to share our Summer Retreat with you. We put everything we’ve learnt about teaching sewing over the last ten years into three days of retreat goodness to facilitate the perfect creative getaway for you.

This will be more than just a sewing workshop. It will be a full immersion into the joys of sewing clothes for your own body. Take the your inner seamstress on holiday, run wild in our light-filled textile studio and see what you create...

Over three days, you will be given the chance to raid our fabric shop and sew up to three different Made My Wardrobe sewing patterns. Get as creative as you like - we will be on-hand to help make it all a reality. If you want to make the perfect pair of Thelma Trousers or Greta Dungarees you can do just that! If you want to make a silky Josie Bra and Pants you can do that too! We will help you build up your confidence to make garments that fit just the way you like, in fabrics that make your heart sing!

Who: This retreat will be taught by Lydia Higginson with assistance from the rest of the Made My Wardrobe team. Lydia started MMW in 2016, since then she has taught over 500 people how to make their own clothes in workshops across the UK. When she’s not facilitating workshops, she’s a Costume Maker for theatre and live performance. She loves demystifying the tricky bits of sewing and getting folks flying on well oiled sewing machines. She’s a big believer everyone is creative, folks just need the time and space to let it out.
