Just like the rest of the sewing community, we have fallen in love with the quilted jacket trend. They are perfect for staying cosy on chilly evenings and have so much potential for really interesting design details, from the way you quilt the fabric to the pockets you choose to add. They’re one of those garments that are incredibly satisfying to make and feel like a comforting hug when you wear them.

What will be included:

• A quilted jacket sewing pattern

• Two days of teaching and deomnstrations from the MMW team

• Fabric for the garment you want to make

• A full guide to taking your measurements & finding your size

• A range of sewing techniques from quilting to pockets, binding to buttons.

• One-on-one fitting advice

FAQs

How much sewing experience do I need?

• We recommend you have used a sewing machine and made some garments before joining this course to get the most out if it. If you are new to the game, why not try our Intro To Sewing workshop before doing this one.

What about food & accommodation?

• We will provide tea, coffee and sweet treats

• If you are visiting Bristol from out of town, we have a handy guide full of top tips here, including lots of cafés and tasty spots nearby for lunch. Alternatively you are welcome to bring a packed lunch and eat in our spacious kitchen.

• We have decided to ask participants to make their own accommodation arrangements on this occasion. There is a beautiful boutique hotel next door to the studio called Artist Residenceif you feel like treating yourself.

What is your cancellation policy?

• If you can no longer attend a workshop, please let us know as far in advance as possible. We can usually re-sell your place and give you a 75% refund, but we cannot guarantee this if you cancel at the last minute.
