Are your ready to learn how to make your dream jumpsuit? Jumpsuits have a unique visual impact, but also something special happens when you climb in them - you acquire superpowers! You feel like you are ready for anything! You are a mechanic, an astronaut, a parachutist! The fantastic news is they also happen to be really fun to make!

On this two day workshop you will be given the option of making the Modern Sewing Co Jesse Jumpsuit or another jumpsuit pattern of your choice which you are welcome to bring along. Featuring a comfortable elasticated waist paired with a sleek silhouette, the Jessie Jumpsuit is a great option if it’s your first time sewing a jumpsuit.

Who: This course will be taught by Jamilla Ives, Made My Wardrobe’s in-house pattern cutter. Jamilla’s aunty got her her hooked on sewing when she was twelve years old. Since then, she has studied Fashion Atelier at University, been a Technician on the fashion course at the University of Gloucestershire, and she now runs the fashion programme for The Prince’s Foundation. She loves demystifying pattern cutting for home sewers to give them the creative freedom to sew any design they can imagine.

Is this masterclass open to beginners?

• We advise some experience of making your own clothes in order to get the most out of this class. We will form a supportive, encouraging, creative environment for one another.

What about food & accommodation?

• We will provide tea, coffee and sweet treats

• If you are visiting Bristol from out of town, we have a handy guide full of top tips here, including lots of cafes and tasty spots nearby for lunch

• We have decided to ask participants to make their own accommodation arrangements on this occasion. There is a beautiful boutique hotel next door to the studio called Artist Residence if you feel like treating yourself.

What is your cancellation policy?

• If you can no longer attend a workshop, please let us know as far in advance as possible. We can usually re-sell your place and give you a 75% refund, but we cannot guarantee this if you cancel at the last minute.
