Our Winter Retreat is back by popular demand! We love seeing the studio full of creativity on our seasonal retreats.

This will be more than just a workshop. It will be a full immersion into the joys of sewing clothes for your own body. Take your inner maker on holiday to our beautiful studio and see what you create...

Over three days you will be given the chance to raid our fabric collection and sew up to three different Made My Wardrobe sewing patterns. We’ll be on hand to help you get as creative as you want with this. If you want to hack the Amaya Shirt into a dress you can do just that! If you want to make a patchwork pair of Dungarees you can do that too! The possibilities are wild! We will help you build up your confidence to make garments that fit just the way you like.

When: Friday 6th, Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th December 2023 (10am till 3.30pm)

Where: Made My Wardrobe Studio, 27 Portland Square, Bristol, BS2 8SA

What’s included?

Three days of teaching from Lydia and the Made My Wardrobe team

• Three printed Made My Wardrobe Sewing Patterns (you now have 16 to choose from!)

• Fabric and haberdashery to make up to three garments

• Introduction to using our PFAFF passport and PFAFF overlock sewing machines

• One-on-one fitting advice

• Intimate class size with lots of space for discussion and creativity

• Tea, coffee, and delicious treats

Is this retreat open to beginners?

• Yes, we are welcoming all levels on this retreat. We often find that having varying degrees of experience helps us form a supportive, encouraging, creative environment for one another.

What about food and accommodation?

• We can recommend lots of cafes and tasty spots nearby for lunch or you are welcome to bring a packed lunch and eat in our lovely kitchen.

• We have decided to ask participants to make their own accommodation arrangements on this occasion. There is a beautiful boutique hotel next door to the studio called Artist Residence if you feel like treating yourself.

What is your cancellation policy?

• If you cannot attend a workshop please let us know as far in advance as possible. We can usually resell your place and give you a 75% refund, but we cannot guarantee this if you cancel at the last minute.
