Are Open Studio Sessions open to beginners?

  • Absolutely! These sessions are for personal projects, so it doesn’t matter if you’re a total beginner or more experienced sewer. Plus, having varying degrees of experience helps us form a supportive, encouraging, creative environment for one another.

Pricing

  • Our Open Studio Wednesday Evening and Sunday half day Sessions cost £20 for a three hour session. If that does not feel manageable for you we also run on a three-tiered community pricing system: £7, £15 and £20. Our pricing is run on an honesty policy, so please be true to your financial situation when booking in. If you purchase a space at tier 1 pricing when you can afford tier 3 pricing it can affect our ability to offer flexible pricing.

Tier 1: £7 - Use the code TIERONE at checkout

Students/Unemployed Individuals - those who have very little expendable income and may be additionally relying on financial/non-financial support such as government assistance, student loans or voluntary assistance for basic needs.

Tier 2: £15 - Use the code TIERTWO at checkout

Under Employed/Lower Income Individuals - those who have some financial income from employment or other forms of income but rarely afford items outside of basic needs.

Tier 3: £20 - no code needed at checkout
