Hilda Bag - Navy Waxed Cotton Kit
We have a new pattern for you and we couldn’t be more excited about this one! Meet The Hilda Bag. It’s a bike pannier and a backpack in one. It’s been a total game changer for us being able to clip it on to the back of our bikes when we are cycling, then pop it on our back once we’ve arrived at our destination! We hope you love it as much as we do.
Each Hilda Bag Kit includes:
1m of Navy waxed cotton
70cm cotton lining fabric (colour may vary)
1 x 20cm zip, 1 x 45cm zip (tape colour may vary slightly)
2 x metal trigger clip (25mm wide), 2 x metal D ring (25mm wide),
Pannier attachment (optional please specify if you want the pannier attachment on the dropdown menu)
The Hilda Bag Sewing Pattern - Printed Version
We decided not to include leather in these kits for ethical reasons. All the leather used in our samples was up-cycled by cutting up second hand leather garments. If you want to use leather on your bag we recommend you do the same rather than sourcing new leather. However, the whole bag can be made without leather using the waxed cotton in the kit.
Please note, when handling the Waxed Cotton, the fabric will naturally crease and marble, giving its unique look and may need re-proofing in the future.
