If you would like to know why I have started 'When it happened to me...' please feel free to have a read of my blog post about it here

If you are a survivor of rape or sexual assault and would like to be part of 'When it happened to me..' The questions I am asking are:

What clothes were you wearing when you were raped or sexually assaulted (if any)?

What clothes did you put on after you were raped or sexually assaulted (if any)?

Do you still have any of these clothes?

Do you still wear any of these clothes?

I am hoping to create a collection of clothing inspired by the answers I am given. I am then hoping these garments will become an exhibition raising awareness about rape and sexual assault.

To start here are my answers about when it happened to me...

What clothes were you wearing when you were raped or sexually assaulted (if any)?

I was wearing a coral pink linen skirt with big pockets and beautiful buttons all the way down the front. On top I was wearing a lace camisole which was a slightly darker shade of pink. I think I was wearing 'skin' colour pants but I'm not completely sure, but I know I wasn't wearing a bra or socks or any jewellery. I don't usually wear that much pink at once, I remember when I got dressed that morning thinking how feminine I looked.

What clothes did you put on after you were raped or sexually assaulted (if any)?

Having been stripped all I wanted afterward was to be covered. I found some white pants and then pulled on a cream pair of trousers. I remember feeling like my whole body was crawling with dirt but putting on the cream trousers helped me feel cleaner in some way. I pulled on a long sleeved top which belonged to my mum. All I could think about was getting as many limbs covered as fast as possible.

Do you still have any of these clothes?

I still have the top that belongs to my mum, but everything else has gone.

Do you still wear any of these clothes?

No, I tried to wear the cream trousers a few times but it made my stomach turn.
